Hi Friends & Neighbors –

It’s a good week to plan a rendezvous with some good ol’ friends. The sun is setting earlier which means night fun comes earlier! This week, we have various spooky detective performances and others that will have you on the edge of your seat. It’s also getting colder with spurts of warm days, but don’t let that deter you from enjoying yourself. Immerse yourself in music and enlightening films, and spread the good vibes all around.

MONDAY

11/10, Veteran’s Day Memorial – Veteran’s Day Celebration at Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery in Riverside. Come join in on celebrating and supporting our troops who exhibit patriotism, and selflessly sacrifice themselves for our country. It’s time to focus our attention on those who protect and serve us, because they undoubtedly deserve it.

 

TUESDAY

11/11, Kids’ Exercise and Play Class– KidsPlay at The Energy Lab in Redlands from 4p.m. to 5p.m. Class is $12.50 for a drop-in. Give your kid the opportunity to be the next Einstein! Enroll him or her in this class, and expand their imagination through brain play and exercise. Reinforce their love for learning today, and watch their intelligence bloom.

 

WEDNESDAY

11/12, Live Music – Piano and Electronics with Patrick Vargas at The Press Restaurant in Claremont at 9:30p.m. Ages 21 and over. Lend your ear, and discover an enigmatic performer whose music is known to flourish. A perfect evening with drinks and food to celebrate the end of the midweek hump is sure to get you ready for the rest of the week.

 

THURSDAY

11/13, Film ScreeningDesert Utopia – Mid-Century Architecture in Palm Springs at Seeley G. Mudd Theater in Claremont School of Theology from 7p.m. to 9p.m. Admission is $10. Well, well, this is a nice tame film screening to attend, and witness the history of the architecture in Palm Springs. A perfect relaxing event to go to as you learn about the modern designers of exquisite buildings and homes.

11/13, Theatrical PerformanceSherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles at Lifehouse Theater in Redlands at 7:30p.m. Adult ticket prices range from $14 to $18. Tickets for children age three to 11 are from $7 to $9. Oooh, get ready for some spooky times! Lifehouse Theater is where you’ll find great detective work, as the people around you attempt to solve this interactive murder mystery. Tim Kelly has adapted and dramatized this play with otherworldly mysteries and frightening discoveries. You’ll be on the edge of your seat throughout the evening.

FRIDAY

11/14, Country Music Concert – Chris Cagle at Toby Keith’s I Love this Bar & Grill in Rancho Cucamonga at 8p.m. Tickets range from $22 to $27. Get your cowboy boots ready and show off your two-steppin’ with the fantastic country performer, Chris Cagle. Top it off with some good drinks at an awesome bar at Victoria Gardens, and you’ve got yourself a honkey-tonk kind of Friday night.

11/14, Murder Mystery DinnerGirl Scouts Murder Mystery Dinner at The Burrage Mansion in Redlands. Check-in begins at 6:30p.m., and Dinner starts at 8p.m. Tickets are $65 per person. Ages 21 and over. Throw in some murder, and add some good food and drinks, and what do you get? A murder mystery! Get warmed up with a free first drink at this black tie event while supporting the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council.

11/14, Luncheon and PerformanceSikes and Nancy with Gerald Dickens at Evergreen Masonic Center in Riverside at 7p.m. Admission is $25 for high school and college students with I.D. and $50 for adults. Children under 13 are not allowed. It’s time to test your wits, and see if you can withstand “The Murder” as Dickens called it. Come watch this performance, and try to not faint as bloody murder is committed by dapper looking folks in this Victorian theater.
