Hi Friends & Neighbors – 

This week, there is much fun to be had. Head out with family and friends and share the magic of the holidays. A dance class and many other creative happenings will get your body moving. Or, you can sit back and watch some spectacular artistic performances ranging from stand-up comedy to theatrical plays. You are sure to have a pleasant evening with your date, as you both enjoy any of these amazing Inland Empire activities—right at your fingertips.

11/17, Dance Class – Beginning East Coast Swing group class at Dancing in Riverside at 7p.m. Drop-in class is $5. Come get your swing on as you learn the beginning steps. Getting into the groove and rhythm of it all will be no sweat in this dance class. No partner is required, but do bring water as this class can be a workout!


11/18, Stand-up Comedy– Mike Cano’s Comedy Party at the Improv in Ontario at 8p.m. Tickets are $10. Share a laugh while watching stand-up with some friends. You’ll find performances with Jake Baker, Marcella Arguello and Mike Merrill along with Mike Cano, so you’re sure to have a jam packed evening. Be ready for some high energy fun from Cano whose comedy can relate to all all walks of life.

11/19, Writing Workshop – NaNoWriMo Young Writers Program at Archibald Library in Rancho Cucamonga at 4p.m. Ages 6 to 12. It’s time to enroll your kid into the National Novel Writing Month program class at the award winning Archibald Library. Discovery Club will get your kid’s brain stimulated and as sharp as ever with creative writing and fun games.

11/19, Theatrical Performance – CATS 20th Year Celebration Gala, A Variety Show & Retrospective Video Presentation at Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center at 7:30p.m. Ticket prices range from $11 to $19. Join in for Family Night, as the Community Arts Theater Society (CATS) celebrates 20 years of operation. Past cast and crew are paying tribute in the only way members of a theatrical society should—by performing various productions from over the years, which will includes acts of many Broadway favorites including Les Miserables


11/20, PlayCabaret at the Lewis Family Playhouse at Victoria Gardens Cultural Center in Rancho Cucamonga at 7:30p.m. General admission is $30, and admission for seniors is $28.  Uh-oh, it’s evening in Germany, and it’s right before the start of WWII—where do you go? The Cabaret for some nighttime fun, of course! Watch the characters come alive in this play as they throw caution in the wind, all the while the world spirals into jeopardy. The performance is not be suitable for all audiences.

11/20, Country Dancing – Complimentary Dance Lessons at Brandin’ Iron in San Bernardino at 7:30p.m. Get your cowboy boots on, throw on your nicest flannel, and get ready for a night of true red, white and blue American fun. Join in on some complimentary dance lessons as you ‘yee-haw’ your way onto the dance floor. Build some confidence with your two-steppin’ and line dancing, and leave all your troubles at the door!


11/21, Art Class – Art and Sol Fine Art Classes for Children at Temple Beth Israel in Pomona from 3:30p.m. to 5p.m. First introductory class is free. Children ages five to 13. Discover the creativity in your child with the help of Gracesol whose experience is worthy. Your child will draw and paint with many different mediums such as charcoal, watercolor and more, introducing him or her to an invaluable creative experience.

11/21, Tree Lighting – 7th Annual Tree Lighting at The Shoppes at Chino Hills at 7p.m. Join many others with family and friends while cheering on the lighting of a beautiful 35-foot Christmas tree. There are lots of great things to be had as well! The first 2,000 guests receive complimentary Santa hats, and many others will have their chance at deals and giveaways. Stop by to enjoy the holiday spirit whilst enjoying cheerful music and free stuff.
