There’s plenty going on around the Inland Empire this weekend, so let’s get started! The amazing and legendary Dickens Festival is going on in Historic Downtown Riverside. If you love literature, than this is the place to be!

Looking to do more? There’s the Riverside County Fair in Indio and the Splash Dogs Competition in Rancho Cucamonga. Make the most of your weekend and your time spent with your loved ones.

2/21, Pub Crawl – The Pub Crawl for the 3rd Annual Coaster Conundrum begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Division 9 Gallery in Riverside. RSVP required.

2/22, Health Fair – The Third Annual United Latin American Citizens of Riverside runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Cesar Chavez Community Center in Riverside. FREE.

2/22, War Dog Remembrance Day – The 14th Annual War Dog Remembrance Day is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at March Field Air Museum in Riverside. FREE.

2/22-2/23, Dickens Festival – The 21st Annual Riverside Dickens Festival runs Saturday and Sunday in Historic Downtown Riverside. Check out the website for schedule of events and ticket information.

2/23, Burlesque Classes – Learn the art of burlesque from 11 a.m. to noon Sunday at Embody Pole Fitness in Corona. Introductory class is $12.

2/23, Citrus Sampling – Sample more than 20 varieties of citrus beginning at 2 p.m. at the Visitor Center at the California Citrus State Historic Park. Admission is FREE; parking is $5.

2/23, Forever Dreams Veterans Show – Honor Veterans with this special show with circus feel and touch of Broadway flare.  There will be a live 10 piece band, fire spinners, aerial acrobats, dance. All to celebrate our nation, our military and a special segment that depicts the life of a soldier.  Buy a dozen virtual roses that will be ushered in by the bikers and placed on the memorials in the Riverside National Cemetery

Thru 2/23, Riverside County Fair – The 68th Annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival runs through Sunday at the Fairgrounds in Indio. Check out the website for schedule of events and ticket prices.

2/22, Saturday Night Dancing – Celebrate dance this weekend and  learn to salsa.  First time dancers will get in free and returning students who bring a new student get in FREE.  14 E. State St. Downtown Redlands.

2/21, Rhythmic Circus – The talented feats of Rhythmic Circus in its “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” show begin at 8 p.m. Friday at the Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga. Tickets start at $18.50.

2/22, Big Bear Discovery Center – Guided nature walks are from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Big Bear Discovery Center – the place to start your Big Bear vacation. 40971 North Shore Drive, Highway 38 Fawnskin, California.

2/21-2/22, Night Ski Sessions – Take in a little evening skiing from 3 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday through the beginning of March at Snow Summit Ski Resort in Big Bear. Check out website for conditions and fee schedule.

2/22, Snowshoe the Bear – Big Bear’s 7th Annual Snowshoe the Bear begins at 7 a.m. (registration). Races begin at 10 a.m. Registration information can be found online.

 

 

TEMECULA WEEKEND EVENTS

2/21 – Girls and Science – Learn how far girls can go in science from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at Pennypickle’s Workshop at the Temecula Children’s Museum. $5 for children 2 and older.

2/22, Walking Tour – Take a historical guided tour of Old Town Temecula from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $2. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

2/22, Street Painting WorkshopPromenade Temecula hosts a street painting workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the center’s outdoor plaza. FREE for people of all ages!
