Shout Out: Foothill Family Shelter | Inland Empire Cupcake Fair

One of the beneficiaries of the Inland Empire Cupcake Fair is the Foothill Family Shelter. This great organization has been helping Inland Empire families in need since 1984.

The Foothill Family Shelter began as St. Mark’s Homeless Shelter and currently serves as a transitional facility for homeless adults and children from the west end of San Bernardino County and the east end of Los Angeles County. They house homeless adults and children for a period of up to 120 days, free of rent and utility charges.

Their mission is to assure children and adults a future by helping them acquire skills that will enable them to maintain a home, job, and at the same time develop the necessary self-esteem to function as a successful stable adult.

I’m excited that Foothill Family Shelter agreed to be involved with the Inland Empire Cupcake Fair. I actually attended St. Mark’s Episcopal School during my formative elementary school years. I’m a proud alumni and clearly remember the numerous food drives the school held to support the beginning stages of the Foothill Family Shelter. The lessons of giving and contributing to your community were something I took away with me and still carry to this day.

If you’d like to learn more about the Foothill Family Shelter check out their website – – and follow them on Facebook. They are very active in the community and have numerous fundraisers where the community can participate.

So please remember when you’re purchasing tickets for the Inland Empire Cupcake Fair proceeds from ticket sales will be going to benefit families in need. Definitely stop by the Foothill Family Shelter table on March 17th and learn more about their programs.
